Yes, there is a booking deposit to secure your stay at the Hockwold Inn. The minimum deposit to reserve the inn is normally £250, however if you choose to book the inn within a shorter time frame of when you plan to stay, we require between 50% and 100% of the fee depending on how far in advance the booking is.

As cancellation policies vary per provider, please refer to your contractual agreement terms and conditions for cancellation specifics regarding your booking. 

If you are booked directly through Hockwold Hall in conjunction with a wedding or event, the cancellation policy is as follows:

In the event you wish to cancel a confirmed booking, you must advise Hockwold Hall in writing at the following email [email protected] or in writing to the address on your booking contract within 14 calendar days of signing the contract to obtain a full refund of your deposit. 

Deposit payments are non-refundable after 2 weeks (14 days) following the signing of the Rental Agreement. After this time, a cancellation may result in lost business opportunities and costs. We will make reasonable efforts to “re-sell” the reserved date to another couple. If unsuccessful, you are fully responsible to pay any losses and costs we encounter because of the cancellation. Depending on when you cancel, charges are applicable, and these shall be determined by the reference table below. 

(Charges will be calculated on numbers established in the original pricing quotation.) 

• 18 months before event- 70% of total Wedding Package Price 
• Less than 12 months before the event- up to 80% of total Wedding Package Price. 
• Less than 6 months before event- up to 100% of total Wedding Package Price 

Cancellation by Hockwold Hall

We reserve the right to cancel your booking without liability to you and without any obligation to refund your deposit if: 

1. You have not paid the balances of your wedding package as per the agreed terms written in this contract. 
2. We have reasonable grounds to believe you may not pay the balance of your wedding package as per the agreed terms written in this contract. 

Unfortunately, Hockwold Inn is not able to be booked on an individual room basis. Rather, the inn must be booked as a whole and split amongst a group on your own.

Hockwold Inn is located at 50 Station Road, Hockwold Cum Wilton, Norfolk IP26 4JA. It is less than a 100m walk from Hockwold Hall. To access the inn, you will be given a check-in code and are able to arrive at 2:00pm. On the day of your departure, you must check-out by 11:00am.

Split between 8 bedrooms and bathrooms, the Hockwold Inn can accommodate up to 20 people.

While vaping and smoking are strictly prohibited inside the building, there are designated smoking areas outdoors. 

Due to the historic nature of Hockwold Inn, pets are not permitted. 

The inn is professionally cleaned prior to guest arrival , and it is expected that guests will leave the inn in a reasonable condition as per when they checked in. Prior to checking out, all rubbish and recycling are to be removed from the site and placed in the bins provided in the parking lot next to the inn.

When enjoying the outdoor courtyard and garden for entertainment or recreation, we request that noise levels be kept at a considerate level out of respect for our neighbours. We kindly ask that any outdoor noise or music be concluded by 11pm. While local area restrictions are in place, due to the proximity of Hockwold Hall some noise may be possible during onsite weddings and events.
